Welcome! This is my living update page—where I share what's happening at Zenbrio, what I'm building, what I'm learning, and where we're gathering. I update it regularly as new ideas, classes, and projects emerge, so check back anytime to see what's new.
🌱 Happening Now
✔ August Touch For Health classes are now open.
Learn practical skills for improving posture, reducing stress, and balancing the body's natural energy. Whether you're looking for personal growth or professional training, everyone is welcome.
✔ Balance First pilot is full.
Our inaugural PeaceHealth pilot filled all available spots. The response has been incredibly encouraging, and a waitlist is now open for future opportunities.
✔ Identity Balancing now available in private sessions.
Supporting people who are navigating major life transitions, releasing outdated patterns, changing identities, or stepping into new roles and ways of being. Let me know you'd like to focus on identity.
🌿 What's Alive
These are the projects currently receiving most of my attention and energy.
Balance First
This summer marks the launch of the inaugural Balance First pilot at PeaceHealth. Thanks to grant funding, healthcare professionals are participating in the first cohort of Balance First Foundations, a new curriculum that blends practical body-based skills with human development.
While these pilot classes are underway, I'm also completing the curriculum for Balance First Levels 2–4 and the accompanying student workbook. These advanced levels expand the program into a transformational learning path focused on awareness, relationships, resilience, integrity, and the capacity to meet life with greater presence and choice.
Zenbrio School
This year has been focused on creating more ways for people to learn, practice, and connect. Along with launching the new website, we've continued our monthly community gatherings and introduced Balance in the Park—an outdoor opportunity to practice simple self-balancing tools together. Whether you're a client, a student, or simply curious about this work, you're always welcome to join us.
Writing & Research
I've been quietly reorganizing my writing over the past few months, moving everything from Substack to the Zenbrio website so it has a permanent home alongside my classes and community offerings.
New writing will begin appearing here again soon as the migration is completed. Many of the ideas currently taking shape in my classes and client work will find their way here in the months ahead.
🤝 Where We're Gathering
One of my favorite parts of this work is creating spaces where people can learn, practice, and connect with others. Whether you're brand new or have been studying with me for years, you're welcome to join us.
Community Gatherings
Our monthly gatherings are at Zenbrio the second Wednesday of the month at 6pm. We explore a different theme each month through discussion, guided balances, and shared learning. They're open to anyone who is curious about this work.
Balance in the Park
Join us outdoors for a relaxed practice of movement, self-balancing, and connection. We'll begin together, spend time exploring individually, and come back to share what we noticed.
Touch For Health Classes
Whether you're looking for practical self-care skills or professional training, Touch For Health provides a foundation for understanding the body's natural intelligence through muscle testing, posture balancing, and energy awareness. Learn to do what I do!
Play Dates (Touch For Health Students)
An opportunity for Touch For Health students to practice balancing skills, ask questions, and connect with fellow students in a relaxed, supportive environment. These informal gatherings help keep the work alive between classes.
Women's Retreat
Our October women's retreat is currently full, and I'm looking forward to spending a restorative weekend together in community. If you'd like to be notified if a space becomes available—or be among the first to hear about future retreats—I'd love to hear from you. Please fill out the form on this page.
💭 What I'm Exploring
One of the greatest gifts of teaching is that it continually raises new questions. These are a few of the ideas currently capturing my curiosity and shaping the next stage of my work.
Recovery, Addiction & Community
I'm currently spending time interviewing clients and community members in recovery as I deepen my understanding of addiction and healing. I'm also learning more about the AA and Al-Anon communities and the wisdom they've developed through decades of lived experience.
I'm curious how some of these principles might inform future elements of Balance First—not by recreating existing programs, but by learning from what has helped so many people reconnect with themselves and others and where Balance First may help support recovery even more.
Integration of Reality
Lately I've been exploring what it means to truly integrate reality—the capacity to stay connected to ourselves, to others, and to what is actually happening, even when life becomes difficult.
I'm noticing connections between self-reflection, overwhelm, chronic alarm, and what I've been calling the "void state." Increasingly, I find myself wondering whether many modern health challenges are less about individual symptoms and more about a prolonged inability to fully process and integrate lived experience. This is still taking shape, and I'm looking forward to seeing where it leads.
🌄On the Horizon
These are a few of the ideas currently taking shape. If one sparks your interest, I'd love to hear from you.
The Language of Color
I'm considering offering a Color Balancing class that combines energy balancing with professional color analysis. We'll explore how color relates to the meridians and chakras, while also using a professional color draping system to discover the colors that naturally complement your unique features.
We'll also explore our personal relationship with color—including colors we're naturally drawn to and those we tend to avoid—and use balancing techniques to gently work with aversions that may have developed over time. You'll leave with a deeper understanding of how color can influence wellbeing, practical ways to use color intentionally, and greater confidence in choosing the colors that both feel good and help you shine.
If this sounds like something you'd enjoy, send me an email. Your interest helps shape what I create next.
🖤 In Gratitude
None of this work happens alone, and I want to recognize a few people whose partnership has made a tremendous difference.
A heartfelt thank you to Katie Boyer-Clark, whose thoughtful "World Building" process has helped shape far more than this website. Her ability to see the bigger picture has challenged me to clarify my writing, refine my offerings, and create a website home that reflects not just what I do, but how I hope people experience this work. Isn't this website beautiful? Thank you, Katie!
→ Work With Katie
I'm also deeply grateful to Robert Stalbow at PeaceHealth for believing in Balance First and helping bring this pilot to life. His support opened the door for this inaugural program to become a reality.
And finally, thank you to Mandy Baucum, who is teaching the inaugural Balance First cohorts with such care and dedication. Watching this curriculum move from an idea into something that will benefit healthcare professionals has been incredibly meaningful, and I couldn't do it without her partnership.
Finally, thank you to every client, student, and community member who continues to learn, ask questions, practice, and grow alongside me. Your curiosity, trust, and willingness to engage are what keep this work alive.
