Balance First is an experiential training designed to support greater awareness, grounding, self-regulation, and sustainable participation in daily life, caregiving, and helping professions. Grounded in the principles of Touch For Health and the Self-Responsibility Model, the program integrates body-based practices, awareness of stress states and internal signals, and practical approaches that support steadiness, clarity, and ethical presence in high-demand environments and relationships. Participants will explore: — practical self-regulation and grounding tools — awareness of stress states, patterns, and internal signals — body-based practices drawn from Touch For Health — boundaries, ethical presence, and sustainable care — simple practices that support clarity, steadiness, and recovery This training is: — educational and experiential — non-clinical and non-diagnostic — accessible to beginners and professionals alike — adaptable for different physical needs and comfort levels No prior experience is required. Participants are invited to engage at their own pace. Included with registration: — Balance First introductory handbook — Touch For Health Complete Edition textbook — certificate of attendance — guided in-person instruction
